Beyond digitalisation
Operating health systems with data, AI and cybersecurity at scale
Warsaw, Poland
21 to 23 September 2026
About the conference
Digital transformation in health has entered a new stage. Across Europe and beyond, digital services are becoming part of routine healthcare delivery, while artificial intelligence, data sharing and cybersecurity are increasingly shaping how health systems are managed, governed and trusted.
The next challenge is no longer digitalisation itself. It is the ability to operate health systems with data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity at scale, while maintaining public trust, ensuring continuity of care and delivering measurable value for patients and societies.
Organised by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Poland and the e-Health Centre, Poland’s national agency responsible for the development and operation of digital health services and infrastructure, the conference will bring together health leaders, policymakers, public institutions, international organisations and experts who are shaping the future of health systems across Europe and beyond.
Rather than focusing on individual technologies or isolated projects, the conference will examine the strategic capabilities required to lead health systems through the next decade of transformation.
Discussions will address how countries can build effective governance for artificial intelligence, strengthen cyber resilience, make better use of health data, enable interoperability across borders and develop institutions capable of managing continuous technological and societal change. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange lessons learned, discuss common challenges and identify practical areas for cooperation among countries facing similar questions about the future of health systems.
Day 1 (21 September)
Official opening and welcome dinner
Hosted by the Minister of Health of Poland, the official opening of the conference will include welcome speech from Minister of Health, Minister of Digitalisation, keynote speech and a dinner, creating an opportunity for networking in an informal setting.
Day 2 (22 September)
Track A | Governing AI in Health Systems
Explore how countries are moving from AI experimentation to system wide adoption. Join policy discussions, expert workshops and co-creation sessions on governance, trust, implementation and scaling AI across health systems.
Track B | Cybersecurity as Health Security
Discuss how countries are strengthening cyber resilience across healthcare. Exchange experiences on protecting critical infrastructure, managing risk and ensuring continuity of care in an increasingly digital environment.
Day 3 (23 September)
Data, Governance and Resilient Health Systems
Join all participants for a shared programme focused on data driven governance, interoperability and health system resilience. Through panel discussions and collaborative sessions, participants will identify common priorities and future directions for health systems operating in the age of data, AI and cybersecurity.
